BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND! Snap Sonnets is a class for poets and readers of poetry at all levels conducted in Virtual Format from the 92St. Y Unterberg Poetry Center.

In two Sunday afternoon online sessions, January 12 and 19, 2014 from 2-4pm, we will study and practice this supple verse form. The first class will be devoted to readings of five sonnets—one from each century, from the 17th to the 21st. An individualized writing assignment will be developed for each participant. The second class will review those newly written sonnets and closely examine variations on the sonnet from the 19th and 20th centuries.

For online students: the virtual campus of the 92St Y Unterberg Poetry Center is designed for interactivity and functions like a social media network. Students must have access to a personal computer, high-speed internet and a headset with microphone capability.  Register Here….(And don’t panic if the link takes a while to load.  It’s the 92nd Street Y course website.)
